A SIMPLE INTRODUCTION
Fellowship Baptist Church is an independent Baptist church. This simply means that we are non-denominational in our organization. Under the authority and headship of Christ, we practice local congregational governance. Our sole and final authority for faith and practice is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, preserved Word of God. The leadership structure of our church is four-fold: (1) God-ruled, (2) Pastor-led, (3) Deacon-served and (4) Congregationally-accountable.
Our church’s theme is Christ Centered • Family Focused • Bible Believing
We believe that Jesus Christ is building His church and that he is the Lord and supreme head of each local assembly (Ephesians 1:22; 4:15; 5:23; Colossians 1:18; 2:19). Christ is head when the local church follows His Word. Everything we say and do as a church should be centered around Christ and based upon His Word.
We believe that God ordained the home before any other institution (Genesis 2:20-24) and that the ministry of the church must teach and reinforce biblical family values. Every ministry we offer as a church should be focused on the spiritual needs and growth of the family. It is the desire of our church to minister to each family member from the time they are infants in the nursery through their golden years as senior saints. We believe the greatest family of all is the family of God and it is our prayer that every individual will find that family security and acceptance at Fellowship.
The ministry of Fellowship Baptist Church can be briefly summarized in the mission statement, “Reaching people and leading them to become committed followers of Jesus Christ.”
