A SIMPLE INTRODUCTION
Fellowship Baptist is an independent Baptist church. We practice congregational church government and are not under the authority of any outside organizations or institutions. Our sole and final authority for faith and practice is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, preserved Word of God, which we hold to be the 1611 King James Bible.
The leadership structure of our church is four-fold:
(1) Christ-headed, (2) Pastor-led, (3) Deacon-assisted and (4) Congregation-approved.
Our church’s theme is "Christ Centered" "Family Focused"
We believe that Jesus Christ personally started the local church during His earthly ministry (Matthew 16:18) and that He is to be the head of each local assembly (Ephesians 1:22; 4:15; 5:23; Colossians 1:18; 2:19). Christ is head when the local church follows His Word. Everything we say and do as a church should be centered around Christ and based upon His Word. We believe that God ordained the home before any other institution (Genesis 2:20-24) and that the ministry of the church must teach and reinforce biblical family values. Every ministry we offer as a church should be focused on the spiritual needs and growth of the family. It is the desire of our church to minister to each family member from the time they are infants in the nursery through their golden years as senior saints. The ministry of Fellowship Baptist Church is based on a “Five-fold Purpose” derived from the pattern set by the church in Acts 2. We strive to achieve this “Five-fold Purpose” through a “Five-fold Philosophy”, which flows naturally from our “Five-fold Purpose.” We believe that this purpose and philosophy will maintain a balanced and healthy church that both evangelizes the lost and edifies the saints.
